If a child refuses to answer, can you invalidate and give it another day?

No, please take into account the child’s general mood before administering the CIRCLE Assessment. Assessments should only be invalidated if a scoring error was made by the teacher, or if there was an interruption in the classroom (fire drill etc.) during a rapid assessment that cannot be corrected.  All assessments, except Rapid Vocabulary Naming and Rapid Letter Naming, can be paused and scoring errors can be corrected by selecting the “previous” button and correcting the prior item.
